Maine Conservation Voters

Keeping Score for 25 Years

In 1986, a group of prominent and concerned Maine conservationists came together to form the Maine League of Conservation Voters and produced the first Environmental Scorecard. This scorecard, the only one of its kind, tracked each legislator's votes on key environmental issues of the session. Since that time, the Environmental Scorecard has evolved to an annual publication that holds our elected officials accountable on bills that affect Maine's clean air, water quality, land and public health. MCV has kept score for 25 years and will continue to make the protection of Maine's environment a political priority.
